The Great Louis Vuitton Look

In the fashion world at the moment, there’s a major row going on between the major fashion houses on one side, and the manufacturers of replica clothing and accessories on the other. It’s not hard to see why the fashion houses feel threatened. For example, Louis Vuitton handbags generally cost in excess of a thousand dollars, whilst its replica counterpart would cost around three hundred dollars. They’re both made from exactly the same materials, and both have identical standards of quality and detail. Essentially, the only difference is the price. Even the experts would have trouble telling the difference between the genuine and the replica, and most of us would have no idea whatsoever.

Because of this, Louis Vuitton knockoffs now out-sell genuine Louis Vuitton by a factor of a hundred to one. Louis Vuitton has become desperate, and resorted to some tactics that some say border on the bullying. They recently sued a Darfur charity for $22,500 per day for showing someone holding a Louis Vuitton handbag in an advert. Some people have questioned Louis Vuitton on this, and asked how the company can keep its moral high ground if it pulls such stunts.

The easy answer is that they can’t, and ethically, the consumer would be doing a lot better do buy Louis Vuitton replica luggage than to buy the genuine article. Not only would they be getting the same quality for a lot less money, they would not be funding a company with dubious ethical and moral policies.
